The Chief-Leader/Gary Fabiano
NEW FACES OF LABOR PARADE: Patrolmen's Benevolent Association President Patrick J. Lynch, who was among a handful of uniformed union leaders who decided to mobilize their members to take part in the Labor Day Parade for the first time in memory, went the extra mile in bringing out some fresh faces when he had his sons Patrick (left) and Kevin help lead the PBA contingent. Labor solidarity was marred somewhat, however, when on-duty firefighters and cops, acting on orders from Mayor Giuliani, hosed down and confiscated some barbecue grills operated by union officials because their operation was not strictly compliant with a court order limiting the cooking sites.
