| 'FINEST'
HONOR THEIR OWN: The Patrolmen's Benevolent Association June
19 honored 35 Police Officers, one Sergeant and one Detective
for valor, resourcefulness and compassion. Among those cited
given 'The Finest of the Finest' awards were four cops assigned
to the 79th Precinct in Brooklyn for confronting a man with
a gun and, after he fired upon them, pursuing, wounding and
arresting him. From left to right are PBA Acting Brooklyn North
