Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association President Pat Lynch will receive the President's Award of the National Council of Columbia Associations in Civil Service at its annual dinner April 3 at the El Caribe catering hall in Brooklyn’s Mill Basin section.

The honor came in response to nominations by both the NYPD chapter of the Columbians and the organization’s retirees’ association, said the group’s president, Joseph Guagliardo.

“Pat Lynch has done an extraordinary amount of work for retirees in the areas of health and benefits,” he explained. “He’s been a good guy for Italians and a good guy for everyone else in civil service.”

Sgt. Giovanni Porcelli, who is the president of the NYPD Columbia Association, is among the three others being honored by the National Council. He will receive the group’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Tickets for the dinner, which begins at 6:30 p.m., are $70. For further information, call (718) 643-1231.
