Police pay hike checks

By LISA COLANGELO
CIVIL SERVICE

Speaking of relief, Patrolman's Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch released the following information about raises for police officers:

Police officers will be getting their rate increase and their back pay resulting from the recent Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) award - without night shift differential - in the pay check of Aug. 12. The night shift differential rate increase and back pay will be in the paycheck of Aug. 26.

Police officers who retired prior to Jan. 1, 2005, will have back pay checks sent to the last address on file at the NYPD payroll section. Those who have moved should send a notarized letter stating their new mailing addresses to the Director, NYPD Payroll Section, 1 Police Plaza, Room 1018, New York, N.Y. 10038. Members who retired during 2005 can pick up their back pay checks at their last command on the same dates.
