Andrew M. Cuomo, left, a leading Democratic candidate for state attorney general, was endorsed yesterday by the New York City Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, the large police union. Patrick J. Lynch, the union's president, praised Mr. Cuomo as a candidate with a "record of results." Mr. Lynch said Mr. Cuomo offered "the integrity and the commitment to stand up for law enforcement." Mr. Cuomo, a housing secretary in the Clinton administration, is expected to face three other candidates in the Democratic primary.
