11 A.M., THURSDAY, JANUARY 11, 2001
IN CITY HALL PARK IN DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN
Dear Member:
The year 2001 is a crucial time for New York City police officers. While we’re doing the best job of our lives, we’re being worked to death by our bosses, second-guessed by politicians and denied a decent raise by the powers that be.
Joined by our families and other supporters, we are going to assemble in a highly visible public setting to demonstrate our solidarity and give voice to our concerns at a PBA-sponsored rally from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Thursday, January 11, 2001, in City Hall Park in Downtown Manhattan.
It should be a day not only for showing New Yorkers how we feel about the contract negotiations but also how we feel about each other and about our brother and sister officers.
Please alert your family and friends and remember to mark January 11 on your calendar as a very special day. Your attendance is mandatory if we want our message to be heard loud and clear.
Fraternally,
