RE: PBA OPERATIONS

The attack at the World Trade Center (WTC) has affected the operations of PBA’s offices at 40 Fulton Street.  We have been told that the collapse of the buildings at the WTC has destroyed substations supplying electric and communications capabilities to the PBA’s offices.

While the PBA Board and staff have continued to operate the facility since the first minutes of the tragedy, often in darkness and by flashlight, providing aid and support to our members and to the rescue effort, the communications to the PBA’s offices (including telephone and facsimiles) continue to be down.

To address our lack of communications, we have secured cell phones for the PBA’s offices.  Until service is restored to the building, the following numbers should be utilized by those wishing to reach the PBA offices:

Main Union Office:
(516) 287-4812
Health & Welfare Office:
(516) 287-4819
(516) 287-4805
General Counsel’s Office:
(516) 287-4811
Worth, Longworth,
Bamundo & London:
(516) 741-7000

In addition, you may continue to reach board officers on the cell numbers previously provided to you.

Fraternally,

Patrick J. Lynch
President
