The three-year-old son of fallen firefighter John Downing, Ladder 163, who lost his life in the line of duty on Fathers Day and nephew of Lt. Joseph Downing of the 43rd Pct. and Police Officer Jimmy Downing of TARU, needs your help. Little Michael Downing has just been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. Michael needs both whole blood and platelets. His blood type is A Positive. He can receive A+, A- and O+ in whole blood donations. His treatment will be a long, continuous process, so he needs to be able to receive these donations over many months. Your continuing support will be greatly appreciated.
