To All Delegates and Members

April 30, 2010

I write to inform you that Prudential Life Insurance Company of America, the life insurance provider for PBA group life insurance policies, has assumed the responsibility for maintaining all beneficiary information for our policies.

As part of the process of taking over that responsibility, Prudential will be soliciting members to update their beneficiary information, This process will begin with a mailing from Prudential next week. There will be a follow up mailing in August for those who do not respond. In the event that a member does not update their beneficiary information in response to these requests, Prudential will use beneficiary information currently on file with the PBA or with Prudential, as the case may be. We are informed that Prudential will use its "preferential beneficiary" clause to determine beneficiaries for members who have never designated a beneficiary. The order of preference will be included in Prudential's letter.

Updating your beneficiary information is very simple and can be done on-line or by filling out a paper form. Instructions for both methods will be included in the letter from Prudential.

We encourage all members to take this opportunity to update your beneficiary information. It will take only a few minutes to do, but will protect your beneficiaries' interests and give you peace of mind.

Please contact Prudential's Customer Service Office at (800) 778-3827 or the Funds Office at (212) 349-7560, if you have any questions.

Fraternally,
Patrick J. Lynch
