P.O. Stephen Driscoll

Fallen at the World Trade Center

Police Officer Stephen P. Driscoll, 38, was appointed to the NYPD on January 13. 1992, and began his career on patrol in Midtown Precinct South. Prior to being assigned to ESU 4 in August 1998, he served with the Street Crime Unit.

A veteran of the United States Navy, PO Driscoll loved sailing and living near the water. He was also an Honor Guard in the Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Band, as well as an active member of the Emerald Society and the New York Shields fraternal organization.

He Is survived by his wife Ann; son Barry; parents Letitia and Patrick; sisters Sheila, Jeanne, Gall and Michelle; and brother Michael. His brother-in-law, John Tiemey, is an NYPD sergeant.
