P.O. Walter Weaver

Fallen at the World Trade Center

Police Officer Walter E. Weaver, 30, was appointed to the NYPD on June 30, 1992, and began his career in the 47 Precinct where he played on the command's ice hockey team. A former construction worker who was known as "Wally," his longtime dream came true on February 9, 1998, when he was assigned to ESU. PO Weaver was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and ice skating.

He is survived by his parents Joan and William; and brothers Brian and Michael.
