PBA HotlineMarch 18, 2003

Hello, this is Bob Zink, Recording Secretary of the New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association.

On behalf of Pat Lynch and all of the PBA board and delegates, we thank you for turning out for the funerals of Detectives Nemorin and Andrews. Nearly ten thousands police officers attended these funerals to show respect for our fallen brothers and their families.

This massive show of support and solidarity should send a message to all the thugs that an attack on one police officer is an attack on all of us.

Once again, your participation is greatly appreciated.

By now, you should have received your raises and all back pay and adjustments for night differential and overtime worked during the period of the contract.

It is important that you double check the amount paid to you by the department to insure accuracy.

If you find any problem or suspect that an error was made in calculating your back pay or adjustments, you must file a pay/time inquiry form PD138-152 and turn it into your payroll section.

You should anticipate being asked to provide backup documentation in support of the problem. Don’t take the Department’s calculations for granted. Check them out.

This is Bob Zink. Thanks for calling the PBA Hotline.
