Hello. This is Bob Zink, Recording Secretary for the
Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association. Thanks for calling the
PBA Hotline.
Because of the appalling behavior of some anti-war protestors,
the PBA has begun airing a 60-second radio commercial in support
of our members.
The commercial features Pat Lynch explaining the important role
that police officers play in allowing people to express their opinions.
Lynch also explains that police officers have earned and deserve
the respect of protestors.
The commercial will be airing on WINS, WCBS, WABC and K-ROCK through
Sunday, April 13th. It does air on the Howard Stern show and on
Imus in the Morning.
If you would like to hear the commercial for yourself, log on to
the PBA website at www.nycpba.org and click on What’s New.
While you are at the website, you may also visit the media contacts
section and view recent television news stories where Pat Lynch
criticizes the department for suppling less than adequate anti-terrorism
safety equipment.
This is Bob Zink. Thanks for calling the PBA Hotline.
