PBA HotlineApril 14, 2003

Hello, this is Robert Zink, Recording Secretary of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association. Thanks for calling the PBA Hotline.

The PBA’s radio campaign that targeted war protestors was a great success. In the ad, Pat Lynch reminds the public that free speech is only possible because we protect people voicing both sides of an issue. Without us controlling protest sites, protests would turn into street fights between opposing opinions.

The radio campaign was well received and the PBA has gotten excellent feedback from the public, our members and even from some high ranking members of the department.

If you didn’t catch the ad on the radio, you can still hear it by going to the PBA website at www.nycpba.org and clicking on What’s New.

This is Bob Zink. Thanks for calling the PBA Hotline.
