PBA HotlineOctober 28 , 2004

Hello. This is Pat Lynch, President of the New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association.

Contract And Arbitration

The PBA continues to prepare our case for presentation to the Public Employment Relations Board better known as PERB. Briefs to the arbitrator will be submitted shortly and hearing dates have been set down. The dates are as follows: November 16, 19, 22 and 30th and December 3, 7, 9, and 13, and 16th.

We are pleased that the arbitrator has moved quickly in setting down our dates. The PBA is prepared to present arguments before those arbitrators.

Election Day

All members of the service should have received a list of local candidates running for election in the community that were endorsed by the PBA. We encourage you to get out and vote on Tuesday, November 2nd, and support the PBA-endorsed candidates. We have chosen the candidates who best represent the principles of New York City Police Officers, who have helped us in the past and who will continue to help win us the rights and pass the legislation we need for a healthy future for our families.

Health Plan Transfers

The filing period for changing health plans is November 1 through November 30. For information on the various options for you and your family, visit the benefits section of the website or stop by our Benefits Office on the 2nd Floor at PBA Headquarters at 40 Fulton Street in Manhattan. The phone number for the PBA Benefits Office Is 212-349-7560.

Thank You For Calling The PBA Hotline.
