PBA HotlineJanuary 18, 2006

Hello. This is PBA recording secretary Robert Zink. Thanks for calling the PBA Hotline.

Contract Update
The third negotiating session was held on January 11. At the meeting, the PBA commented on the city’s demands and discussed the use of federal anti-terror funds. There was nothing exceptional to report.

Health and Safety Issues
In an effort to reduce health and safety issues for PBA members, the Office of the General Counsel has developed a complaint form that is easily accessible on this website.

Members are encouraged to use this form to report any condition that is dangerous, unsanitary or in any way affects your ability to perform your duties. Urgent matters will be referred to PESH (Public Employees Safety and Health Bureau) for inspection and corrective action.

On a more personal note, I would like to commend all members who attended the recent wakes and funerals for our fallen brothers. It is always a great source of comfort for the deceased member’s family to have so many fellow officers attend.

This is PBA recording secretary Bob Zink. Thank you for calling the PBA hotline.
