PBA HotlineOctober 13, 2006

Hello this is Joseph Alejandro, Treasurer of the New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association. Thank you for calling the PBA Hotline.

Contract

There have been two mediation meetings to date and there is no progress to report.

While the city has expressed an interest in reaching a four-year contract, they refuse to move beyond what they call the pattern settlment during the first two years of 3% and 3.15% and will not discuss increases for year 3 and 4.

A third mediation meeting has been tentatively schedueled for October 20th. We will keep you informed as we progress through the process.

Cop killer parole hearings

There are parole hearings for several cop killers in the near future. Please click on the “deny cop killers parole” button on the home page or click here to sign the on-line petitions to deny these killers parole.

Recently, Pat Lynch joined the families of murdered police officers Cecil Sledge of the 69 Precinct, Harry Ryman of the 60 Precinct and James Carragher of Housing PSA 1, as they gave their victim’s impact statement to the parole board. The more support we can give the families by signing petitions and sending letters, the better chance we have of keeping these cold blooded murders incarcerated.
