To be covered under the World Trade Center Disability Law that presumes certain illnesses to be caused by exposure during the rescue, recovery and cleanup of the WTC, you must file a Notice of Participation by June 14, 2007.

If you worked for 40 hours or more at the WTC site, Fresh Kills landfill, the NYC Morgue or at the temporary morgue or on barges traveling between the west side of Manhattan and the Fresh Kills Landfill then you should file a Notice of Participation even if you are not ill. Doing so will protect your option to claim a WTC related line of duty injury and permit you to obtain accident disability benefits as a result.

Click on the link below to obtain more information about eligibility and a Notice of Participation form.
