PBA President: No need for duplicative federal investigation

PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said:

“There is no need for a duplicative federal investigation into the recent and tragic death in police custody on Staten Island.  The District Attorney of Richmond County (covers the borough of Staten Island) has a reputation as an effective and efficient prosecutor and as a guardian of the public’s safety on the Island.  We believe that he will be thorough in his investigation and that no conclusions should be drawn until it is completed.”
