NYPD Officers File Records Lawsuit Against City

(1010 WINS) (NEW YORK) Thirty-five New York City police officers who want higher-paying jobs as Port Authority police are suing the NYPD to release their personnel records.

Attorney Richard Steer say the NYPD officers passed the 2002 written test and want to undergo the rest of the selection process. But their future jobs are on hold because New York police officials refuse to release their work records.

An attorney from the city's law department, said that until 2003 the NYPD had released officer's records other law enforcement agencies.
