Americs’s Law Enforcement Recruits New York’s FinestEditor’s note – Even with the parity- and pattern-breaking contract that the PERB awarded the PBA in May, New York City police officers still rank at the bottom of the pay scale when compared to other local departments, which means that the NYPD continues to struggle to fill its recruit classes and keep its veteran officers because of uncompetitive salaries. Our members will still look across borders to see other law enforcement officers earning as much as $30,000 a year more in less challenging environments with lower costs of living. Therefore, as a service to members who want to improve their situations by making a lateral transfer to the more lucrative police jobs in other localities, The PBA Magazine is running a series of recruitment ads from some of these other law enforcement agencies.Click on the cities' names below to see a printable PDF of their advertisements.
