Above: SOLEMN DEDICATION On July 14, the parents of Police Officer Russel Timoshenko were joined by his fellow cops from the 71 Pct., PBA officials, the mayor and the police commissioner, and others to mark the first anniversary of the hero officer’s line-of-duty shooting death. At a ceremony held outside the stationhouse, a plaque with a detective’s shield was unveiled (photo, left), signifying the officer’s posthumous promotion to that rank. Pictured in photo above are Brooklyn South Trustee Brian Fusco (partially hidden) and (l-r) Brooklyn South Financial Secretary Drew Bailey, PBA First Vice-President John Puglissi, PBA President Pat Lynch, 71st Squad Det. Pete Margraff (who led the successful investigation of Officer Timoshenko’s murder) and PBA Second Vice-President Mubarak Abdul-Jabbar.

 At right: FOR THE DEMOCRAT IN STATEN ISLAND PBA President Pat Lynch held a press conference outside the 120 Pct. in St. George Oct. 2 to endorse the Congressional candidacy of Michael McMahon (on Lynch’s right) for the seat soon to be vacated by Vito Fossella. McMahon was also endorsed by the Captain’s Endowment Association, the Detectives Endowment Association and the Sergeants Benevolent Association. Also pictured are (l-r) CEA President Roy Richter, PBA Second Vice-President Mubarak Abdul Jabbar, PBA First Vice-President John Puglissi, Lower Manhattan & Richmond Financial Secretary Richard Rodriguez and City-Wide Trustee Tommy Hellem. On Nov. 4, McMahon won the election.
