PBA ENDORSES CUOMO FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL
The New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, the
largest municipal police union in the nation, today endorsed Andrew
Cuomo for election as the Attorney General of the State of New York.
NYC PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said:
“Most police officers join the force to help people. Andrew
Cuomo, the New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association’s
choice for Attorney General, shares our values and that commitment.
No other candidate in this race has the record of results, the
integrity and the commitment to stand up for law enforcement that
Andrew Cuomo will bring to the office of Attorney General. From
his start as a young prosecutor under Manhattan D.A. Robert Morgenthau,
to his standing up to reckless gun dealers and manufacturers,
to his bringing in the FBI to crack down on fraud, waste and corruption
at HUD, Andrew Cuomo has made a difference. From his work with
local police to curb crime in housing projects in the toughest
cities, to his launch of the Officers Next Door Program, Andrew
Cuomo will continue to be law enforcement’s toughest advocate.
The New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association wholeheartedly
endorses Andrew Cuomo for Attorney General of the State of New
York. We are proud to stand with him today.”
The New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association represents
approximately 50,000 active and retired New York City Police Officers.
