PBA PRESIDENT PATRICK J. LYNCH REACTS TO THE CITY'S DECLARATION OF IMPASSE IN CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE PBA

PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said:

“The city’s filing of a declaration of impasse proves once again that this administration has no interest in negotiating in good faith. They put an offer on the table at the last meeting on June 28 and were told that the PBA would get back to them with a counteroffer. Without even waiting to see the PBA’s counteroffer, the city declares an impasse and tell the press about it before they inform the union. That outrageous behavior demonstrates beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Bloomberg administration never had any intention of negotiating a fair contract with their grossly underpaid police officers.”
