PBA on Revisions to City Council's Right to Know Act

PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said:

“The PBA had zero input on the revisions to either of the Right to Know Act bills.  But Council Member Torres's statement underscores the fundamental problem with both bills: policymakers are saddling police officers with new burdens and conflicting directives, without any regard for the impact at the street level. If they didn't want to discourage police officers from exercising discretion and policing proactively, they should have abandoned these misguided bills altogether.”
