Statement on Police Officer slashed in Brooklyn
“Thank god our sister is on the road to recovery, but this was a clear targeted attack on New Yorkers City police officers. This individual had no fear when he walked into a police precinct and attacked a uniformed cop — there is no telling what he might have done to innocent New Yorkers out on the street. Despite being injured, our sister pursued this individual along with her fellow police officers, and they stopped the threat before anyone else was hurt. This is another example of the extraordinary work our police officers are doing in an incredibly dangerous environment.”

Two gravefinders who seach for fallen NYPD heroes honored as 2025 Persons of the Year
The PBA named Newtown Historical Society president Christina Wilkinson and cemetery volunteer Anthony Pisciotta as 2025 Persons of the Year for dedicating themselves to finding these unmarked graves and raising funds for headstone markers. Through their work, they have located 52 unmarked graves of fallen New York City police officers — ensuring these once-forgotten heroes are forgotten no more.

PBA: NYPD exodus continues to outpace hiring
“These new recruits are a welcome relief for our overworked and burned-out members on the streets. But the real question is: will they stick around? Every New York City police officer knows they can find a less punishing workload, a better quality of life and competitive compensation in virtually any other police department in our area. The NYPD staffing crisis won’t end unless the city does more to keep the talented cops it already has.”
