Several NYPD cops called to a Bronx home for a dispute were heckled and cursed out of the building by enraged residents, a shocking Facebook video shows.

The clip, posted Aug. 8 at 10:38 a.m., shows four officers from the 40th Precinct walking down the stairs as the man behind the lens yells, “Suck my d---!” and another screams, “Get the f--- out of my building!”

At one point, the one female officer turns to the men and asks, “Can you do me a favor and back up?”

They fire back: “You do me a favor! We backed up! We backed up!”

The cops eye the men several times as they continue to yell profanities, but say nothing more as they exit the building.

Police sources say the heated exchange began when a woman who lives in the Westchester Ave. building called the cops around 10:30 a.m. to complain about several teens hanging out in her apartment with her son.

When the police arrived, the woman changed her mind and told authorities to leave. That’s when the officers were bombarded by the foul-mouthed tenants, sources said.

Police could not clarify whether the hecklers were the same ones inside the 911 caller’s home. The person who posted the video did not respond to a request for comment.

The NYPD officers “exercised discretion and restraint” in their response, authorities said. But other law enforcement sources were ashamed by the ordeal.

“It’s embarrassing," a police source said after watching the video. “Now you see why crime is high in the 40th Precinct. They (the residents) have zero respect. Cops are so scared that they’re going to get in trouble with the department later. They don’t want to get jammed up.”

Police union boss Patrick Lynch echoed that sentiment Sunday.

“Sadly, this is the result of years of elected officials demonizing police officers and decriminalizing abhorrent behavior,” the Police Benevolent Association president said. “They have eroded respect for the uniform and the shield with their constant false narrative about police brutality and this is the result.”

“New York City police officers are professionals who will keep doing their jobs against this tide of abuse. But we will only be successful in reducing crime if the good people of that community lend us a hand by showing support for police, sharing information and by condemning this kind of disgusting, uncivilized and cowardly behavior,” he added.

Overall crime in the 40th Precinct, which encompasses Port Morris, Mott Haven and Melrose, has decreased since January — though murders and robberies have shot up. Murders increased by 60% with eight killings as of August 5, compared with five during the same period last year, city records show.

Robberies inched up with 21 as of last Sunday, compared with 20 last year, records show.
