Patrick Hendry calls for extradition of cop-killers hiding in Cuba
The PBA president is quoted in the NY Post: “This notorious person who started this is still out and still hiding to this day. And to make matters worse, he’s not hiding alone — he’s hiding with one of the most notorious cop killers in the United States. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, doesn’t matter if it’s 20 years, 50 years, 100 years, there is no expiration on justice.”

Hendry responds to Mamdani’s first public apology to NYPD officers
PBA President Patrick Hendry is quoted in the Daily News: “Elected leaders’ words matter, but their actions matter more. An apology will not improve police officers’ quality of life. It will not protect them from being assaulted by dangerous repeat offenders or having their rights trampled by the CCRB. Those are the issues we are focused on now, and they’re the same ones we’ll be discussing with the next mayor after Election Day.

Cops assaulted, 21 arrested after Finals Game 3
Patrick Hendry said: “Last night was another shameful display from individuals who are more interested in brawling with each other, ripping up street signs and hurling objects at cops than supporting their team. We know New Yorkers are passionate about these NBA Finals, but police officers shouldn’t have to endure a barrage of mayhem after every single game. Our elected leaders need to send a stronger message and make it crystal clear that this behavior won’t be tolerated.”

One cop punched, another bitten at Knicks watch party
PBA President Patrick Hendry said: “Our sister was just doing her job, trying to keep everyone safe in the pandemonium following the Knicks Game 2 win, when an individual jumped over a barrier and punched her in the face, hard enough to leave a bloody gash. A victory celebration shouldn’t end with blood pouring down a police officer’s face.”

PBA President says CCRB’s treatment of cop who arrested drug user is “shameful”
Patrick Hendry said: “We will not allow these cop-haters to retaliate against our members by weaponizing the well-established definition of ‘cavity search.’ It is clear that this illegitimate ‘agency’ will do anything to destroy police officers’ reputations and lives.”
